The Pitbull Tackle Sport Crab Pot is a perfect trap for the angler looking to easily go out and catch limits of Dungeness Crab. This style pot is constructed with a rigid steel mesh which is then dipped in vinyl to protect the pot from the elements. This trap features a two entrance door design which allows for plenty of space within the trap for crab to fill up which maximizes your catch. We design our traps to feature triple swinging doors on each side to ensure that crab remian inside the trap once they have crawled inside leaving no room for them to squeeze their way out. We also integrated a setback design for the triple doors which keep uses gravity as an advantage to keep the doors down at all times. These traps are not additionally weighted, which makes retrieving the pots by hand or with a pulley much easier than heavier traps. The weighting and design of these pots however allows anyone to customize their pots by adding additional weights, but these traps are designed for ease of use and functionality. These traps feature two 4.25" escape holes for undersized crabs and rotten-cotton door straps which makes them compliant with current regulations.
